True story.

Its sad to see one losing faith in God and being away from God because of how other people are.

Worse is, when a church leader secretly has affairs with his church member; both married, and not knowing that the other church members are aware of it. You preach against adultery and hypocrisy, but you commit adultery, you cheat on your partner, you become a hypocrite. You preach on repentance for the end days are near, but you commit such sins alongside to preaching to your members to repent against such sins.

And when a member backslides because he no longer has faith in these teachings, this God, this religion, what more can you say? Its easy to say that we do not put our faith and trust in humans but in God alone. But

Yes, no one is perfect. However, when you speak about something, you read about it, and you even pray about it, doesn't that give you a slightest amount of realization and guilt on what you're doing silently? Don't you realise that even if men may not come to know about it, God is all-knowing and is watching every single deed of yours.

Imagine if your children, your wife, and the family of the-member-whom-you're-having-affair-with comes to know about it, how many lives will you bee destroying? How many lives do you think will draw away from your church, and even backslide. Would you be able to carry that burden and that guilt?

If one is weak, let him ask God for strength, if one is lost, let him ask God for directions, if one is confused, let him ask God for wisdom. You'll be able to resist that temptation. You'll be able to be a great testimony to others.

I'm not perfect either. I'm still learning and I still have a lot more to know, a lot more to learn. This is just my frustration and my opinion on something I heard about.

This reminds me of what Mahatma Gandhi once said;

“I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” Mahatma Gandhi
