It's Resurrection Sunday today. The day our Dear, Beloved Jesus Christ rose up after He died on the cross 3 days back. He was resurrected, after dying on that cross for all of our sins. We are yet, still are sinners. But because of His love for His and dying for us on that cross on that day, we are rest assured that we are cleansed, forgiven for our sins; because of Him. Would anyone else die for you? Will there be anyone at all who is willing to take up the burden on the world's sins? No, I believe, there'll never be anyone like that again. Never.
Today's sharing was by Bro. Kel (don't know how his name is spelled :p) He's from New Zealand. YWAM, missionary, evangelist, etc3x. He's just another beloved child of God, going around the globe doing His work.
What did he speak about today?
2 Corinthians 5: 17-19
Our mission, our ministry. What we're called for to do. All of us, after we are born again: to bring people to reconcile with God. Freely we have received, freely we should be giving. We are not only the consumers of the Bread, but also the deliverer. At least that's what we OUGHT to be. Each one of us are called by Him, to share the gospel with every single soul out there who is yet to receive Christ as their Saviour. To tell them, let them know, that He is the only Way, the Truth, and the Life. And no one goes to the Father except through Him.
Some may say that it is hard, we do not have the courage, we do not know how. But then God promised us something
Ephesians 1: 16-19 ; that He'll give us the Spirit of the wisdom and revelation, so that we can know Him better and so that the eyes of our hearts may be enlightened in order that we may know the hope to which He has called us.
And I like the next Scripture he gave us today
Romans 10: 14, 15 How then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believed in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
What does this actually mean? Well, this is what I got from this Scripture.
Who are they? Our friends who are still in darkness, who are yet to receive Christ as their Saviour. How are they to call unto a God they are yet to believe in? How are they to believe in a God whom they've never heard about? And how are they to hear about that God if WE/I do not preach about Him to them? (Ouch...the blame goes on us, on me) And how are the children of God gonna preach, if they are not sent. Who should be sending them? Us. We are the senders, the preachers, the doers. Well, some are chosen to send and some are chosen to be sent. Its just the way it works. Logical right? Those beautiful feet of those who bring the good news, who's feet are those? Ours my dear, who else? :)
Then the last passage was from Psalms 2: 8 (didn't open it just now, let's see what it says....)
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.
Hmm... amen! :)
So, we are to be the Deliverer of the bread to everyone else who does not have it and have not tasted it yet.
How are we to do that if we don't consume it first? We need to consume it, everyday, to make us stronger so that we, can then deliver it to our friends and loved ones.
That's our calling, our mission, after we are born again.
He died on that cross for ours sins, for each one of us. Have we, have I even brought at least one soul to the light?
If I have tried, I shouldn't give up. Coz', remember? His promise? I'll ge the Spirit of the wisdom from Him, to preach about Him.
Now, gonna get to work. By faith, I can finish it by tomorrow evening before my drama practice. :)
Chaos........
